Important Security Information
Unattended Baggage
Please exercise caution that you do not leave any baggage unattended within an airport. The baggage is at risk of being tampered with and an unattended bag can raise the alarm with airport security staff and be removed and/or even destroyed.
Proceed to Departure
Before entering the departure lounge all passengers must pass through security and initially you will be asked to show your boarding pass before proceeding. This is an ideal opportunity to use the litter bins provided to dispose of any unwanted liquids. Clear plastic bags are provided to insert any creams/gels/pastes less that 100ml that you may be taking on the flight. Any unforgotten sharp items or multiple lighters should be removed here.
X-ray Screening
All hand baggage will be passed through an X-ray scanner and usually jackets, belts, watches and loose change from your person need removing to be scanned also. Checks (sometimes random) are also made on shoes with large electrical items and liquids screened separately to your piece of hand baggage. Security staff at each relevant airport will advise instruction.
Prohibited Items
Dangerous and prohibited items that must not be carried in hand luggage include sharp or pointed items such as scissors, knives, darts, razor blades, tools and corkscrews, although these items can be placed in your hold baggage.
Items including explosives, gases, flammable liquids & solids, radioactive materials are prohibited from being taken onto the aircraft at all. For full details and further Airport Security Information please use the links below.
