The Gambia, though in West Africa, is just 6 hours from the UK and because it is in the same time zone there is no time difference in winter (1 hour in summer) - and no jet lag.

The Gambia's biggest draw is its wonderful people and vibrant culture. It also enjoys a glorious year-round climate with barely a drop of rain falling between the months of November and June. Yet even in the summer it is a great destination for a break away from the crowded beaches of the Mediterranean.

Outside the Euro-zone, it also offers great value for money.
